There is something uniquely special about the relationship we share with our dogs.
They greet us with excitement, comfort us without judgement and become part of the rhythm of our everyday lives. They celebrate our happiest moments, quietly sit beside us during our hardest days and leave paw prints not only across our floors, but deep within our hearts.
When they leave us, the silence can feel overwhelming.
For many people, the loss of a beloved dog is every bit as painful as losing a close family member. Yet pet bereavement is often misunderstood. Friends and even family may unintentionally say, “It was only a dog,” “Get another one,” leaving us feeling isolated in our grief.
NeurographicAI Fur Babies was created because I understand that feeling personally.
This workshop is dedicated to the memory of my own beloved dog, Basil Brush (2007–2018), whose unconditional love, loyalty and companionship continue to inspire me every day. Although Basil passed away eight years ago, his memory remains part of my life, and it was through remembering him that this workshop was born.
NeurographicAI Fur Babies forms part of the wider NeurographicAI Grief Support Series, a collection of creative wellbeing workshops designed to honour love, remembrance and healing through mindful drawing.
Rather than focusing on loss alone, this workshop celebrates the relationship you shared with your beloved companion.
Using the NeurographicAI method, you’ll gently create a personal drawing that reflects your own memories, emotions and love. Many participants choose to begin with a paw print, allowing flowing neurographic lines to grow naturally across the page. Others include favourite colours, meaningful words, symbols, hearts or treasured memories that remind them of the joy their dog brought into their lives.
Every drawing becomes completely unique because every relationship is unique.
No artistic experience is required.
NeurographicAI is not about creating perfect artwork. It is about allowing lines, colour and gentle reflection to help express emotions that words often struggle to describe.
Throughout the workshop, participants are encouraged to work at their own pace within a calm, welcoming and supportive environment. There is never any pressure to speak or share personal experiences. Some participants enjoy talking about the loved one they are remembering, while others prefer to reflect quietly through their drawing. Both approaches are equally valued and respected. This is your personal journey, and you are free to participate in whatever way feels most comfortable for you.
All NeurographicAI Grief Support workshops are delivered online, allowing people to join from the comfort and privacy of their own home. Whether you live nearby or further afield, you can take part wherever you have an internet connection. Many participants find reassurance in being able to create in a familiar environment, surrounded by their own memories and treasured keepsakes, making the experience feel even more personal and meaningful.
By the end of the workshop, you will have created a meaningful keepsake that celebrates the life of your beloved dog while acknowledging the love that continues long after they have gone.
